Condominium / HOA Pest Management

Utilize Cascade’s extensive experience providing pest control for Condominiums, Townhouses, Apartments.

Your home is your castle, your refuge. You don’t need pests disrupting your private life or damaging your building’s structure.

The most common pests cited by condominiums, townhomes and apartments are Rodents—both rats and mice, Ants—most often carpenter ants and odorous house ants (a.k.a sugar ants), and Spiders.

These pests require a service program with sufficient frequency to both eliminate existing pest infestations from your condominium and prevent their return.

Working with Homeowner Associations (HOAs) and Property Managers for Effective Pest Management.

HOA board meeting

We at Cascade Pest Control have extensive experience working with HOAs and their representatives—usually property managers for pest management services.

In fact, a few of us have served on HOA boards.

We know how challenging it can be to represent a bunch of homeowners who can have quite diverse points of view.

Most importantly, HOA representatives (board members) and property managers need to know they are working with a pest management company that has vetted, fully trained, and licensed technicians and that the company follows good industry standards. Cascade does all that and more.

Cascade Pest Control goes beyond basic industry standards to ensure a balance of effective pest management and safe treatments.

Cascade is a leader in the implementation of Integrated Pest Management (IPM)—a practice of utilizing a variety of methods to reduce overall reliance on pesticides.

We also select least-toxic products that have also been approved for use in hospitals, day-care facilities, and restaurants.

Cascade understands the complex pest control needs of condominiums and other sites with HOA’s. Call Cascade today 888-989-8979!

FAQs:
Condominium / HOA Pest Management

Who is responsible for pest problems in a condominium?

The answer to this question varies widely from one HOA to another. However, there are pest concerns like rodents (rats and mice), carpenter ants and certain other ants, and others that require a collective, building- or complex-wide approach to gain proper control and protection.

Other pest problems such as spiders can also be widespread and should be addressed for the whole building. Cockroaches too can at times spread through shared plumbing walls to many units.

An example of what might be a single-owner issue would be fleas in their carpet from their own pets.

Regardless of the pest issue, it is important to work with your board, and/or property management company and consult your CC&Rs.

Why does condominium and townhouse living require special pest control considerations?

The beauty and challenge of condominium and townhouse living is the relief from many external duties of upkeep because it is collective.

However, the challenge is working together with others to address needs as they arise.

Pest concerns specific to condominium and townhouse structures are:

  • Shared walls, plumbing and sometimes ventilation all allow pests—both rodents and insects to easily spread to multiple units.
  • Any shared areas such as garbage bins, outdoor (picnic) areas, and commons require everyone to cooperate with sanitation otherwise pests and rodents will gather and infest.

How to choose the right company to provide pest management in your condominium / townhouse?

It is important to select a pest management professional company that has extensive experience working with HOAs and/or property managers.

Even more, it is important to know that the pest control company has a reputation for adhering to or exceeding best industry practices and that they provide integrated pest management (IPM) approaches.

Cascade Pest Control is uniquely qualified to provide IPM approaches to pest management in condominiums, townhouses, and other HOA environments.
