New look... same great service. As some of you may have noticed and as evidenced by our new logo and the wraps on our trucks, we've rolled out a new look-and-feel at Cascade Pest Control. We're hopeful that this helps us better communicate our position as the "caring pest control" company. Of course, we all know that actions speak louder than words. That's why we'll continue to show you how much your business means to us by servicing your pest control needs in the same caring fashion that we have for the last 30 years. Drop us a note and let us know what you think about our new look. We'd love to hear from you. |
An ounce of prevention... With summer in full swing many of the pests that normally live outdoors look to escape the heat by moving to the relative comfort they find inside your home. In the Pacific Northwest, spiders top the list of these unwanted guests including the aggressive house spider (also known as the hobo spider) which is known for the severe symptoms its bites can produce. Read more for tips on how to prevent them from making your home their vacation destination. |
Warning signs - Wasps In the Pacific Northwest, the wasps to be on the look out for in the late summer and early fall are the "social" wasps including yellow jackets and bald-faced hornets. Their nests are enclosed in paper and can range in size from a softball to a basketball or even larger by the end of the season. These nests can contain hundreds of wasps and they can pack a powerful sting. Do you know how to tell if your home is harboring a wasp colony? Read more. |
