It's hard to believe that 30 years have passed since families in the Puget Sound area started trusting Cascade Pest Control to protect their homes and property from unwanted pests. But it's true. And it just goes to show that there is still room for caring, family owned and operated businesses to succeed in today's world.
Back in 1979 our staff consisted of Kurt and Diana Treftz and we had one vehicle in our "fleet". Since then we have served more than 50,000 customers, our staff has grown to 19 (with more than 171 years of combined industry experience) and our fleet now numbers 18. Of course, Kurt and Diana remain involved on a daily basis.
While our business has evolved over the years as evidenced by the changing look of our service vehicles, one truth remains constant and that is our commitment to the way we care for the health and property of our customers.
To help celebrate our 30th anniversary we thought it would be fun to quiz your pest control knowledge with a little contest. See below for the quiz and prizes you can win. |
Early warning signs - Odorous House Ants Odorous house ants are small ants, about 1/8th long and black or dark brown in color. They are found throughout the United States and Washington is no exception. They get their name from the nasty rotten coconut-like smell that is given off when they are crushed. In the spring as the weather starts to warm up after being dormant for most of the winter the ants start to search for food and reestablish their feeding routes. As they do, look for these early warning signs to determine if you have a potential odorous house ant problem. Read more. |
