Bed Bugs are secretive in nature, their eggs and young (instar or "nymphal" stages) are extremely difficult to spot in all locations, and they can be reintroduced at any time by "hitchhiking" on people and possessions from travels and also from local environments such as schools, stores, offices and theatres.
Your Cascade technician conducts a thorough visible inspection of the premises interior for evidence of bed bugs in areas where infestation is most likely. Primary emphases will be placed on bedrooms (particularly beds and furniture and other items close to beds), luggage if there has been recent travels, living room and other furniture where people frequent, and suspect items that have been brought to the home. Cascade technician will provide a verbal report as to findings, if any, regarding the presence of Bed Bugs.
Please note that since bed bugs are small and secretive in nature that there are limitations to an inspection service. Also, some preparation is necessary for this service. This service is to remedy a suspected or active infestation of bed bugs. bed bugs are difficult to fully locate, are resistant to insecticides and, importantly, we are dedicated to a least toxic approach to bed bug control in your intimate living environment—particularly on and around beds. For this reason we carefully training and equip our technicians with the skills, approaches and tools necessary to provide professional bed bug control. A bed bug "clean out" service consists of several treatments often spaced about 2 weeks apart.
It is needful to understand that efforts at bed bug control rely heavily upon the full cooperation of the client to make proper preparations for treatment and take measures to avoid reintroduction of bed bugs. Importantly, the premises must be vacated of all people and pets for the treatment.

Cascade's Bed Bug Detection/Prevention Service is highly recommended to prevent bed bug and to detect any re-infestation of Bed Bugs at an early stage. This is important because bed bugs can be reintroduced at any time by "hitchhiking" on people and possessions from travels and also from local environments such as schools, stores, offices and theatres.
Cascade's bed bug Inspect & Protect service protocol is designed to provide periodic monitoring, inspection, education and limited preventive treatment for Bed Bugs. Your technician will periodically provide a visual inspection of interior areas of the premises which are, by nature of Bed Bugs, most likely to indicate infestation. Detection devices, which are left on premises between periodic visits, are often employed. Additionally, your Cascade technician will also provide topical application of products to prevent Bed Bug infestation. Products are selected to both effect optimum prevention AND least toxicity. Diatomaceous Earth and Orange Oil products, as well as other lower-toxicity products may be used.
